TagCrowd is a web application for visualizing word frequencies in any user-supplied text by creating what is popularly known as a tag cloud or text cloud. In other words, it takes a whole lot of text and makes the most common themes stand out. The most used words appear the largest and brightest while those used less frequently are smaller and less noticeable.
You can create a tag cloud from a list of words that you've created. Why would you want to do this? Well.... if you want to reach the technologically advanced, you could create a tag crowd graphic for a presentation, brochure, etc. TagCrowd.com makes it easy.
TagCrowd specializes in making word clouds easy to read, analyze and compare, for a variety of useful purposes:
•as topic summaries for speeches and written works
•as a website analysis for search engine marketing (PPC) campaigns
•as brand clouds that let companies see how they are perceived by the world
•for data mining a text corpus
•for helping writers and students reflect on their work
•as name tags for conferences, cocktail parties or wherever new collaborations start
•as resumes in a single glance
•as visual poetry
To show you how it works, I copied the text from this blog and pasted it on TagCrowd. Here is an example of a Tag Cloud that was created as a result:
A solution that i found helpful was using it jumpstart PPC campaigns. Start by pulling a search query report so your top-converting queries are at the top of the list. Take the top queries and paste them into the TagCrowd interface, or save as a plain text notepad file (.txt) that can be uploaded into the interface. Since TagCrowd has a limit to the file size that it can analyze (3MB of pasted text or a 5MB plain text file), we only want to look at the terms that are performing best for you.
These results can be used for your advantage by giving you an insight on geo-modified terms, monitor your competitors campaigns, or target the most popular geographical areas. This data from keyword spy tools will give you a lead on your competitors keywords and phrases to make sure your bidding on the same keywords they are.
